PTT Global Chemical Public Co., Ltd. and Waste Buy Delivery Collaborate to Drive Circular Economy and Add Value to Recyclable Plastic Waste
Dr. Itthikon Srichanban stated that this partnership with GC YOUTURN is a major step toward using existing capabilities to maximize recycling benefits, expand corporate client bases, and support community-level waste reduction.
PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, a sustainable chemical industry leader, and Waste Buy Delivery, a waste and recycling management expert, signed an MOU under the “Sort, Collect, Turn” project to recycle and upcycle plastic waste. The initiative aims to create awareness and promote end-to-end waste management through GC YOUTURN platform across Bangkok and its vicinity. Since August 2023, GC YOUTURN and Waste Buy Delivery have partnered in various initiatives, such as “Sort for a Smile” and “Sort, Trade, Turn” at over 100 PTT stations.
Dr. Chaiya Chantavasu, GC’s Executive VP of Sustainability, stated this agreement enhances plastic waste management efficiency from the source using a circular economy model.
Waste Buy Delivery leverages technology via its app to make recycling more convenient and efficient, aiming to reduce transport emissions, landfill waste, and plastic pollution. Both parties believe this collaboration will bring sustainable environmental and economic transformation especially in reducing plastic waste and creating new value from overlooked resources.
